How we handle your personal data
Last updated: 2026-05-17
YourFinePartner ("we", "YFP") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you entrust to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal data of visitors and clients of the yourfinepartner.com website, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Portuguese law.
1. Data controller
The controller for personal data collected through this website is YourFinePartner.
For any privacy-related question or to exercise your rights, please contact us at info@yourfinepartner.pt.
2. Data collected and purposes
We only collect personal data when you submit it voluntarily, mainly through the website's contact and diagnostic forms:
- Name and company — so we can address you and place your request in context
- Email and, optionally, phone — to reply to your request
- Message — the content of your communication
- Diagnostic answers — when you complete the financial maturity questionnaire
- Technical browsing data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, collected in an aggregated and anonymized form for analytics purposes (see Cookies Policy)
The purposes are:
- Replying to contact requests and delivering the requested services
- Generating the financial diagnostic result and following up, if authorized
- Meeting legal and tax obligations
- Improving the site and services (aggregated data, no individual identification)
3. Legal basis
The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal grounds (GDPR Article 6):
- Consent you give when submitting a form or accepting non-essential cookies
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, when you request a service
- Compliance with a legal obligation applicable to YourFinePartner
- Legitimate interest of YourFinePartner in responding to communications and delivering high-quality services
Analytics cookies rely exclusively on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); never on legitimate interest.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out based on prior consent.
4. Data retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Contact requests with no contractual follow-up: up to 24 months after the last contact
- Client data: throughout the contractual relationship and for the legal retention periods (up to 10 years for tax and accounting purposes)
- Diagnostic results: up to 24 months after submission, unless the client authorizes longer retention
After these periods, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
We may share data, solely for the stated purposes, with:
- Technical service providers (hosting, email, analytics) under a sub-processing agreement
- Public authorities, when legally required
- Consultants and partners involved in service delivery, under confidentiality obligations
When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we do so only to destinations with an adequate level of protection or under the GDPR safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate or outdated data
- Erase ("right to be forgotten") your data, under certain conditions
- Restrict processing
- Portability of your data in a structured format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent previously given
- Lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD — www.cnpd.pt)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@yourfinepartner.pt. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for the site to function and, with your consent, analytics cookies. See our Cookies Policy for more information.
8. Security
We adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or accidental disclosure. However, no transmission over the internet is fully secure — we commit to promptly notifying any data breach in accordance with the law.
